Job Overview:
The Adjunct Therapist conducts evaluations and plans treatment activities for patients with psychosocial dysfunctions. All methods of practice and/or work performance shall conform to written established hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.
Qualification
Required:
Masters in Creative Therapy preferred, BS degree required with related experience. Board Certifed in Creative Arts Therapy required.

Essential Functions:
Able to adjust therapeutic activities for specific handicaps.
Assumes a leadership role in recommending and implementing programs to meet patients’ therapeutic need.
Collaborates with creative arts therapists on staff to provide continuity of care.
Communicates with staff regarding clinically appropriate information obtained from patient interaction.
Contributes to establishing priorities in multidisciplinary treatment planning and implements interventions to facilitate goal accomplishment.
Develops and implements therapeutic groups for appropriate ages.
Documents accurately the patient’s behavior, progress and involvement in milieu programs.
Evaluates group therapy program on an ongoing basis.
Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
Performs recreational therapy evaluation of each patient within allotted time frame.
