Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. II Endpoint Engineer.
In this role, the successful candidate will report to the Director of End User Device Engineering. We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Sr. II Endpoint Engineer to play a key role in designing, engineering, and optimizing a secure, scalable, and resilient end user computing (EUC) environment. This position supports our mission to deliver a modern, automated, and good endpoint experience across a diverse range of platforms, enabling our organization to meet both current operational demands and future strategic growth.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with hands-on engineering experience across Microsoft Intune, Entra, PowerShell, and multiple device platforms. They bring strong problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a mindset of continuous improvement while mentoring others and driving innovation across the enterprise.
Job Responsibilities:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineer, maintain, and enhance endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, and Windows Autopilot
Administer and optimize diverse endpoint platforms including Windows, macOS, ThinOS/Wyse clients, iOS, and Android using Intune and JAMF
Automate administrative tasks and system processes using PowerShell and other scripting languages
Package and test applications for enterprise deployment using Intune, SCCM, or related tools
Support application virtualization and enterprise application delivery, including clinical apps such as Epic
Utilize ITSM tools like Ivanti to manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes following ITIL-aligned workflows
Act as a Level 3 escalation contact for service requests, incidents, and major problems. Lead root cause analysis efforts
Mentor Service Desk and desktop support staff. Conduct hands-on training and develop user documentation
Participate in planning, development, and implementation of key EUC projects and initiatives
Provide updates and escalate issues to management. Maintain performance and availability standards, including occasional after-hours support
Collaborate with security, network, and infrastructure teams to align endpoint strategy with broader enterprise IT initiatives
Partner with product owners and teams to deliver device enhancements aligned with end-user needs
Implement compliance policies, conditional access controls, and secure configuration baselines
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
8 - 10 years of experience in end-user computing or device engineering in complex enterprise environments
Demonstrated experience with enterprise-scale patch management strategies, including monthly security updates, driver/firmware updates, and third-party application patching via Intune, SCCM, or equivalent tools
Expertise with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Graph API, and Group Policy via AGPM
Strong experience supporting and managing Windows, macOS, ThinOS, iOS, and Android devices
Proven skills in application packaging and deployment using Intune, SCCM or some other MDM solution
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting on Windows and PHP for scripted web-based applications
Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Ivanti
Familiarity with ITIL principles and incident/problem/change management processes
Experience supporting virtual platforms and business-critical applications
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure and working in an agile or product management role
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Typically requires 7 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, or legal)
Familiarity with JAMF for macOS management
Experience in supporting collaboration tools such as Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and other M365 services
Certifications such as M365 Foundations, Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Azure Foundations are a plus

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95-$137,446.44. Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
