Job Description

Patient Care Techs II are responsible for the following: Assists in the admitting, transporting, and transferring of patients. Responds to bedside alarms, ventilator alarms, and call bells. Provides care to patients and prioritizes based on care requirements delegated by the RN. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Patient Care Tech II participates in the delivery of patient care within the critical care environment.

High School Diploma or GED
PCT, EMT, or CNA certification required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required PALS strongly preferred in units caring for pediatric patient population
Completion of advanced clinical course preferred
Handle with Care certification preferred
Dysrhythmia course certification preferred
Two years nursing assistant, PCT or healthcare experience required – certification and completion of advances skills and knowledge training within 6 months of hire accepted in lieu of experience requirement.
