Financial Data Analyst – Pharmacy Prescription
Role Summary:
• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Prescription Financial Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and report financial data related to prescription costs, reimbursements, billing trends, and pharmacy operations. This role supports data-driven decision-making by identifying cost patterns, payment discrepancies, and reimbursement opportunities across prescription-related transactions. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and communication skills, along with a working knowledge of pharmacy billing processes and financial systems.
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Organize financial data related to prescription claims, billing records, insurance reimbursements, and pharmacy operational costs
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data from pharmacy management systems, insurance databases, and internal reports
• Analyze prescription cost, reimbursement rates, claim denials, and financial variances
• Identify patterns in third-party payer reimbursements
• Prepare clear and actionable financial reports
• Work with pharmacists, pharmacy billing teams, and finance departments to support accurate data interpretation
• Communicate findings and recommend improvements in pricing strategy, billing workflows, or financial controls
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Health Informatics, Pharmacy Administration, or a related field
• Ability to interpret and evaluate large sets of pharmacy and financial data to uncover trends and discrepancies
• Effectively communicate data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, other spreadsheet programs or pharmacy billing software (e.g., QS/1, PioneerRx, McKesson systems)
• Basic knowledge of pharmacy billing, prescription drug pricing, insurance reimbursement, and financial statements
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in pharmacy finance, insurance claims analysis, or prescription billing is preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, prescription claim platforms, or data dashboards is a plus
