Responsibilities Seeking a skilled and motivated Development Technologist with hands-on experience in mass spectrometry and assay development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field, and a proven ability to develop, optimize, and validate bioanalytical assays using advanced bioanalytical techniques. The successful candidate will primarily focus on development of quantitative LC-MS/MS assays of small molecules but may also be involved with projects utilizing MALDI-TOF, ELISA or other techniques. Responsibilities include method development, data analysis, instrument maintenance, and collaboration across laboratory and clinical teams, with strong documentation and communication skills required. Experience in regulated environments (e.g., GLP, CLIA, ISO) and familiarity with mass spectrometry software and biological sample preparation are highly desirable. Responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing new test/equipment, methodologies, or products for the laboratory under the intellectual and scientific guidance of laboratory directors and staff consultants. Responsible for: 1) Improvement of existing methods or implementation of new technology of proven validity; 2) Maintain complete and accurate documentation of data generated and work performed; 3) Organizing new method validation data, preparing data for publication and peer review, and participating in formal presentations within the institution; 4) Aiding in the investigation, installation, evaluation, and purchase of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, reagent systems, and other specialty items and 5) Participates in the training of laboratory staff, residents, and students in principles of methods and application within the laboratory as needed.

Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Medical Technology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent leadership, organizational, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills. Self-motivation and attention to detail. Ability to reproduce a reference method using available procedures without supervision. Demonstrated analytical and scientific competency with development and/or validation of lab techniques or procedures. Proficiency in software for word processing, database management, statistical analysis, and presentations. (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Maintains a record of scientific presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
License or Certification:
Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty, and prevailing regulatory requirements.
