The Unified Administrator for the Emergency Department manages and directs the department's administrative, academic, fiscal and programmatic functions at Montefiore Medical Center (Moses, Weiler, CHAM and North Divisions). They will Integrate all activities (including planning and program development, finance, human resources, facilities/project management, marketing, fundraising, materials management, quality assurance/improvement, database management systems, staff development, revenue enhancement, etc.) in order to accomplish the missions, goals and objectives of the department. The Unified Administrator acts as support staff to ED Administration/Leadership for special projects and on-going operations. Reports to the Chairman and Vice President of the Emergency Department.
In summary, the administrator will serve as the Unified Chief Administrator and Financial Manager of all 4 divisions (Moses, Weiler, CHAM and North Division). This position will be responsible for the clinical and academic operations of the Unified Division, as well as its financial management (site operating budgets, research budgets, practice budgets, special fund budgets and capital budgets.)
- Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health care administration or a related area, including billing, project management, compliance, finance and budgeting.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, database systems, IDX, EPIC, and Workday (experience with additional relevant software is a plus).
