Education:
High School degree or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
Experience:
Three years of Hospital Billing experience required. Familiarity with revenue cycle functions. Experience in planning and conducting training programs preferred.

Demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and instructional methods. Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
Special Training:
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Proficient in computer applications and systems.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:
Must be able to deal effectively with stress and work as part of a team. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops the orientation plan for Patient Accounts and other Revenue Cycle staff. Individualizes orientation plans based on the experience level, job description and learning needs of the orientee. Assists department managers to update and monitor the orientation process. Monitors and evaluates the progress of orientees.
- Develops the orientation plan for all systems utilized within Revenue Cycle and individualizes based on job responsibilities.
- Participates in developing, updating and maintaining educational materials.
- Demonstrates effective teaching skills. Uses a variety of instructional methods/teaching strategies.
- Offers input during the development of standards and procedures. Participates in departmental quality improvement projects. Evaluates compliance with regulatory standards.
- Disseminates information about relevant learning offerings.
- Evaluates the relevance and appropriateness of educational materials.
- Functions as a resource person and assists staff, and orientees in work-related activities as needed.
- Promotes the professional development of CH employees. Assists with the competence of performance appraisals and documents the achievement of staff competence.
- Encourages critical thinking and assesses the learning needs of staff.
- Evaluates program outcome effectiveness based on the relevance and appropriateness of education materials. Disseminates information about relevant learning opportunities.
- Assists in the maintenance of records for educational activities.
- Promotes accuracy and assesses completeness of documentation in the relevant Revenue Cycle systems. Submits required documents and checklists with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities upon request.
