Summary:
The Transtelephonic Monitoring Coordinator serves the practice by facilitating Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring services including holter monitor, event/telemetry monitoring, remotes and TTMs. Provides holter data analysis and interpretation, reporting and reconciliation.
Accountabilities
• Sets up, checks, and performs preventative maintenance on transtelephonic testing equipment and reports broken equipment to supervisor
• Analysis of patient test/ECG results and ECG process reports
• Explains methods and procedures to patient, evaluates patient's total condition throughout the test
• Maintain records of test data, patient information, and submits them to providers for interpretation
• Oversee the Holter service line through multiple outpatient practices including device utilization, monitor tracking, trouble shoot software, arrange for repairs, order equipment and supplies
• Train staff on use of equipment/software as well as train patients on use of monitoring device
• Notify provider of results in accordance with standard notification protocols for all service lines
• Maintains inventory of both medical and office supplies
• Schedule patient testing and follow-up appointments and provides them with follow-up care instructions
• Accurately interpret ECG data; prioritize studies; send reports back to Outpatient sites for MD review/signature. Manage unsigned reports and follow through for completion
• Drafts end-of-summary reports, process, mail, and faxes to referring provider. Submit bills for processing
• Perform equipment and software maintenance for service lines and gives clear explanations to patients regarding medical care
• Research and resolve patient issues with equipment, vendor issues and billing
Credentials:
- Cardiovascular Cert Intl (Required)
- Cardiovascular Technician certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- CPR certification
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- Education Specialization:
Equivalent Experience and 1+ years outpatient experience
- Preferred Associate of Arts or Science
