Position Summary
Operations Manager is a full-time 12-month position reporting directly to the Director of Programming. The Operations Manager in partnership with the Director of Programming and Chair of the Department, is responsible for the technical preparation and production with knowledge and experience in various lighting, video, and sound systems for 40+ Department of Music events in the 560 Music Center’s 1100-seat Concert Hall and 300-seat Ballroom, and campus Premiere Spaces, along with high-profile, off-campus performances. The Operations Managers primary responsibility with business management resides in the administrative leadership of the billing and registration functions of the applied music program and operations management of the 51% of the 560 Music Center complex controlled by A&S.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for technical/facility management.
Designs/implements the technical preparation and production for various performances, including lighting, video, and sound for all events in assigned venue.
Serves as liaison to faculty and guest artists for event production logistics.
Manages all 560 Music Center daily operations and scheduling for Department of Music, including production, teaching, and rehearsal scheduling.
Coordinates applied music lesson and ensemble fees each semester using a multi-tiered and conditional rubric and linked spreadsheet calculations under strict deadlines.
Manages all student financial aid rebate eligibility.
Develops and tracks predictive reports for departmental endowments reflecting sliding scale applied music lesson and ensemble fees.
Hires, trains and supervises staff and/or student workers.

Salary Range
$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
