Do you want to make a difference as a nurse?
- You will provide and document direct and indirect patient care services to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.
- You will deliver care and patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.
- You will follow up, verify new patient referral requirements and ensure proper follow through for patients undergoing or preparing for an interventional endoscopy procedure
- You will provide education, pre op instructions, coordinates pre op testing prior to Interventional GI Procedures such as ERCP, Colonoscopy with EMR, etc.
- You will review pathology results post procedure with physician and coordinates follow up for patient
- You will deliver care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. Identifies patient’s readiness for learning and ability to give consent.
Educational Requirements:
License/Certification Registration:
- California State RN License
- American Heart Association, BLS
- Specialty Certification (GI, OR, ambulatory preferred)
Experience:
- Three year acute nursing experience required
- Specialty Certification
- Preferred experience in GI Lab, Outpatient procedure setting, and digestive diseases clinical knowledge.
- Working knowledge of applicable Standards of practice, Epic, pre op testing, PPTP, outpatient ambulatory clinic.
