Role Overview:
Provides the safe, timely and efficient delivery of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment, documents, and/or laboratory specimens to and from various locations while completing all paperwork necessary relating to pick up and delivery. Location assignments and items delivered vary based on each messenger's home division and cost center. May also be responsible for occasional Patient Transport in certain Ambulatory Care Divisions.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree with major in Food & Nutrition or related field; master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2-years experience.
At least one year in oncology or nutrition support preferred
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Commission on Dietetic Registration
Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist, New York State
Role Responsiblities:
Provides comprehensive nutrition care to assigned patients by assessing nutritional needs, developing, implementing, and re-evaluating nutritional care plan
Provides coverage of all inpatient units
Refers patients to other services
Counsels patients and/or caregivers about special nutrition needs and procedures, prior to discharge, and coordinates the provision of outpatient nutrition services as needed.
Develops and revises patient nutrition education materials as needed.
Trains staff as assigned.
Core Skills:
Ability to evaluate patient needs and develop tailored nutrition care plans grounded in current clinical guidelines.
Skilled in partnering with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Knowledge of the unique nutritional challenges and interventions for oncology patients.
Strong communication skills to empower patients and families in making informed dietary choices.

Pay Range: $75,500.00 - $116,900.00FSLA Status: Exempt
