We seek an exceptional head and neck oncologist/thoracic oncologist, with a cancer research focus, to join our faculty at the UW Carbone Cancer Center and the UW Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care. We seek a track record of clinical excellence, interest in education and cancer research focus to include health services or clinical trial research, and priority areas of genomics, precision medicine and cancer therapeutics. Interest in cellular therapy is also considered. This position would be active in multi-disciplinary thoracic oncology programs. The academic clinician has the opportunity to engage/collaborate with our HN SPORE team at UW.
The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at UW-Madison includes 60+ faculty, 40+ Advanced Practice Providers, and 19 Fellows. Our faculty lead cutting-edge basic, translational and clinical research programs, encompassing cancer biology, cancer prevention, screening and treatment, as well as survivorship and palliative care for patients impacted by solid tumors, benign and malignant hematologic conditions and those requiring stem cell transplant or cellular therapies.

Clinical research is conducted by 18 multi-disciplinary Disease Oriented Teams, with 170+ UWCCC investigators regularly enrolling patients to therapeutic intervention trials at our two clinical sites. Requirements
- MD, DO or equivalent
- BE/BC in Hematology/Medical Oncology or Medical Oncology from an accredited fellowship training program is required by the appointment start date.
- American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)Certification required. Wisconsin medical license by the appointment start date.
- Eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges by the appointment start date.
