Looking for a FT Director of Psychotherapy Services
Location: 3535 Market St.
Department: DBT Program
Summary:
The DBT Director of Psychotherapy Services will develop, implement, provide, supervise, teach, and evaluate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), including individual and group therapy for adults in an outpatient clinical setting. The training and supervision will include clinical staff and/or psychotherapy trainees and/or training programs. The DBT Director of Psychotherapy Services will have administrative responsibilities in-line with the implementation of evidence-based treatments and/or training and education of psychotherapy trainees. Additionally, the DBT Director of Psychotherapy Services will support the Outpatient Director of Psychotherapy in initiatives in-line with developing DBT evidence-based intervention programming, implementation, and training in the Penn Psychiatry Department. In collaboration with leadership the DBT Director of Psychotherapy Services provides strategic leadership and direction regarding clinical, financial, regulatory, quality, human resources, and patient/employee satisfaction aspects of the practice. The Director will prepare monthly reports about performance and outcomes. The DBT Director of Psychotherapy Services will report clinically to the Outpatient Director of Psychotherapy, and administratively to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise clinical staff and or psychotherapy trainees in the delivery of evidence-based treatments, namely DBT.
- Responsible for performance management, quality review, and delivering feedback for clinical staff and or trainees.
- Provide evidence-based clinical interventions to a diverse population of adults in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Provide onboarding and training to new clinical staff and/or psychotherapy trainees.
- Document assessments and interventions in electronic health record in a timely and appropriate manner to maintain thorough records in compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements.
- Collect and manage outcome data for evidence-based clinical initiatives and/or psychotherapy education programs.
- Present monthly reports of performance and outcome data on evidence-based clinical initiatives and/or psychotherapy training programs.
- Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
- Lead multidisciplinary DBT team in the direction of the DBT clinical and educational programming.
- Provide educational lectures and trainings in the delivery and dissemination of DBT to internal staff, trainees, and professionals in the community.
- Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.
Credentials:
- LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC in the Commonwealth of PA. Active license to practice clinical psychotherapy in the Commonwealth of PA, necessary continuing education credits to maintain licensure in psychology, credentials to practice psychotherapy. (Required)
- Successfully credentialed by the University of Pennsylvania, Office of Medical Affairs prior to hire date (Required)
- State of PA background clearance (PATCH report) (Required)
- If applicable, fingerprinting & FBI clearance if residing outside of the state of Pennsylvania, or if residency in PA is less than two years (Required)
- LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC in the state of NJ (Preferred)
- Clinical Psychologist, Active license to practice psychology in the Commonwealth of PA, necessary continuing education credits to maintain licensure in psychology, credentials to practice psychotherapy. (Preferred)
- PsyPact with Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) OR active license to practice psychology in the state of New Jersey. (Preferred)
- • Required: DBT-Linehan board certification (Required)
- • Highly desired: Advanced training and/or certification in racial trauma, culturally-competent supervision, and/or culturally-responsive interventions (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Master's Degree Clinical Social Work or Counseling (Required)
- Ph.D. Doctorate Degree in (PhD or PsyD) (Preferred)
- 5+ years Post graduate experience in providing psychotherapy (Required)
- 2+ years Clinical Supervision Experience (Required)
- 2+ years Management experience (Required)
- 2+ years' Experience delivering Evidence-based treatment (Required)
