The faculty member will work with the Department Chair, Program Director, and other PA faculty and staff to ensure that the educational environment demonstrates qualities needed to provide a superior medical education in accordance with ARC-PA standards.
As a core faculty member, and in accordance with ARC-PA Standards, the PA faculty member has responsibility for:
• Developing the mission statement of the program
• Selecting applicants for admission to the program
• Providing student instruction
• Evaluating student performance
• Academic counseling of PA students
• Assuring the availability of remedial instruction
• Designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating curriculum
• Administering and evaluating the program
• Assuming any other related duties necessary to develop and maintain an
effective program
• Other related duties as assigned.
Job Description
Qualifications:
Masters level degree from an accredited PA program or other health-related field required.
Current NCCPA certification with current licensure in Pennsylvania, or license eligible required.
Doctoral degree or willingness to pursue preferred.
Minimum two years physician assistant clinical experience required. Knowledge of the roles, responsibilities and scope of practice of Physician Assistant profession required.
Teaching and/or administrative experience in PA education or other health related field preferred. Evidence of interest in research/scholarly activities preferred.

Ability to travel.
Excellent oral, written, intrapersonal, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office®) required.
Active participation/leadership in local, regional, or national PA or other medical organizations preferred.
