ResponsibilitiesProvides oversight to, and is accountable for quality and service, work unit safety, strategic planning, document management, financial management and developing and implementing new services. Responsible for management and development of staff. Assists in the planning of maintenance and service coverage for research equipment. Completes special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager or Operations Administrator.
QualificationsRequires bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant Healthcare disciplines with two years of research laboratory experience.
Must exhibit a solid understanding of lab techniques, equipment, and safety.
Requires skill in influencing and motivating others.
Needs to possess excellent communication, organizational and human relation skills.
Must have the ability to organize and carry out techniques independently and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
Must have broad based knowledge of office support and computer systems along with the ability to manage and create spreadsheets and databases.
Prior supervisory experience overseeing a large team in a laboratory setting is strongly preferred.
