The Montefiore RN maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. The Registered Nurse actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills.
- The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.
- The Registered Nurse contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and objectives of MMC and the Surgical Care Center.
- They are committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and are responsible for the coordination, implementation, and delivery of care to the patient.
SCHEDULE: Per Diem. Hours vary.
Requirements
- New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.
- BS/BSN Degree preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
- Critical Care experience preferred.
- PACU/ASU experience preferred.
