Overview
The Montefiore School Health Program (MSHP), which consists of 33 comprehensive school-based health centers (SBHCs), is seeking an Administrative Supervisor. This position has an alternate work schedule (AWS) that coincides with the New York City Department of Education (NYC DOE) school year calendar (10-month position with summer weeks off - with benefits).
Candidate must have a bachelor's degree and operational experience.
This position is 100% onsite and the work schedule is Mon-Fri from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Providing on-site staff support and supervising day-to-day operations for selected school health centers.
- Fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment to ensure high-performing teams are achieving practice-wide operational and financial goals/metrics.
- Implementing site-specific processes and procedures that create friendly and efficient access for all students to the health center.
- Managing communication between the school administration, clinical, and senior management.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, associates, providers, regulatory entities, and community members.
- Leading continuous improvement processes to develop procedures, processes, services, and to support organizational growth and excellence.
- Supervising all aspects of SBHC operations, including scheduling, staffing, patient experience, enrollment, and billing.
- Assure compliance with state and federal regulatory entities, both internal and external stakeholders, including DOE staff, DOH staff, and TJC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's required in a related field (health care).
- At least 3 years of demonstrated managerial/supervisory skills with large and interdisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting, with an understanding of laws and regulations of healthcare.
- Experience with EMR required (EPIC preferred), Workforce management, Microsoft Office Suite, and Medical Billing required.
- Organizational skills necessary to manage competing responsibilities and timetables.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to plan for the timely and successful completion of short- and long-term operational objectives.
- Requires some flexibility in schedule.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
