ResponsibilitiesThe CNP Technologist II functions as the multi-skilled component of the neurodiagnostic laboratories’ technical staff performing electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic and/or Nerve Conduction Studies. The technologists are responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, providing a safe testing environment and must demonstrate competency, skill and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing in the area of hire. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED and 3 years of Neurodiagnostics experience. Associate’s degree preferred.Computer skills required. Demonstrated leadership abilities including above average communication skills (verbal and written). Demonstrated ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.Must be a current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist to apply. Registries include specific certification through ABRET – Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM and CAP); American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM; CNCT) and/or AAET - The Nerve Conduction Association (R.NCS.T.). Must have current certification in Basic Life Support.
