Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver flawless care to patients in the Hepatology Transplant department.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and effectively communicate them to patients and their families.
- Perform procedures such as staple and suture removal, surgical wound care, and wound vac dressing changes as needed.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Actively participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
Education:
- Master’s of Nursing Degree (MSN) required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required
License/Certification:
- Current State of California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License required
- National certification as an NP required
- Current BLS certification
- DEA license required
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years working in acute care nursing OR 2 years serving as a Nurse Practitioner required
- Experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
- Experience with transplant or hepatology patients desired
