Description
The Resource Coordinator Imaging Services reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and direction for diagnostic imaging support staff (Medical Imaging Assistants).
- Coordinates patient flow through the department; resolves various staff scheduling issues.
- Maintains status as an administrative user in all diagnostic imaging systems (PACS, Communicator, Orchestrator, EPIC).
- Helps to support monitoring quality assurance items, via PACS, for the Northwest Region.
- Provides end-user training or education of users for all diagnostic imaging system applications.
- Assists in fixing studies with demographic errors. Splits/merges images into and out of folders and applications. Monitors and assists in preparing, fetching, acquisition, and transmission of images as necessary to and from all PACS/RIS related clinical equipment.
- Monitors and correct exams with no images attached.
- Oversees the daily distribution of the physician reports, distribution of the patient result and reminder letters and follow through on the daily fax error log. Manage missing report communication from Medical Records.
- Complete staffing schedule to ensure adequate FTE allocation and update NM MyTime weekly.
- Monitors supply levels to ensure that timely reordering of necessary items, and maintain a clean, safe and orderly department.
- Assists Manager in completing Performance Management Process (PMP) for McHenry Medical Imaging Assistants.
- Provide back-up assistance for all job duties outlined in Medical Imaging Assistant job description (202082).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- Associates degree and/or two to three years’ experience with imaging systems in the HIS/RIS/PACS arena.
- Previous supervisory experience.
