Summary:
The Clinical Quality Data Analyst is accountable for supporting the Quality and Patient Safety team with day-to-day quality and patient safety data collection, analysis, and presentation. The Clinical Quality Coordinator will work with Quality, Patient Safety, and Risk Management teams to review, compile, and respond to event reports (currently referred to as QREs), compliments, complaints, and grievances. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs these functions at the discretion of the Director of Quality and Patient Safety.
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collects quality and patient safety data as it relates to compliance with policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards encompassing the whole organization.
- Identifies case studies and assists with preparing for the monthly committee meeting.
- Identifies case studies to review at committee meetings.
- Monitors and tracks complaints and grievances data. Analyzes data collected and mirroring the current process of the Risk Management team of responding to the complaints and grievances.
- Works closely with the Director and Manager of Quality and Patient Safety in the management and analysis of events from RX to Go (currently called QREs). Assists in the transition of reporting events using PDF files, paper forms, the use of spreadsheets, and the Alliance for Medication Safety (APMS) to the use of the Origami event reporting system.
- Assists in the data collection and compilation of Quality and Patient Safety performance improvement activities, including current or baseline metrics and future monitoring after implementation of performance improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
- Partners with the Director and Manager of Quality and Patient Safety, along with the Accreditation Manager, to identify areas of opportunity for future performance improvement initiatives, education, and training.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
- Nursing License, required
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or business or related field, preferred
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of one (1) year in a clinical setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Data collection, Quality, and/or Patient Safety, required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, required.
