Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join MSK as a Lab Manager and join the innovative team at the Michael Kharas Lab, part of the Sloan Kettering Institute's Molecular Pharmacology Program! Our lab is dedicated to identifying critical pathways in both normal and leukemic hematopoietic cells. We focus on RNA regulators in stem cell biology, aiming to uncover novel therapeutic targets in cancer and regenerative medicine. Role Overview:
- Lead all aspects of lab safety, maintenance, equipment installation and compliance.
- Establish quality assurance programs, technical reports, scientific projects and shipments.
- Assist with budget preparation and fiscal requirements.
- Lead funds and negotiate with vendors.
- Place orders and advise on funding opportunities.
Key Qualifications:
- Expertise in hematopoietic stem cell, embryonic stem cell, murine hematopoietic leukemia, and RNA-related assays is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal regulations governing and Good Laboratory Practices.
- Ability to project future needs and formulate strategies consistent with projections.
- Experience in grant proposal preparation and advising on funding opportunities.
- Experience in laboratory operations and financial management.

- Quality assurance and equipment maintenance.
- Technical report preparation and analysis.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
