Responsibilities The Neurophysiology Technologist performs a variety of Neurophysiology procedures which may include EEG’s (Routine, Sleep Deprived, Portable, Ambulatory, Video, and Epilepsy Monitoring.), Intraoperative monitoring (EEG) and Nerve Conduction Studies and are responsible for technical analysis of EEGs. The Neurophysiology Technologist will provide accurate and efficient evaluation of this information. They are responsible for a call rotation weeknights and weekends and will perform clerical duties as necessary to support the department. The Neurophysiology Technologist supports the organization and department’s vision, mission, goals, and values.
Qualifications Experience: None specified
Education: Associate in Applied Science or Associate in Science degree in neurophysiology or related science required.
Training: Board eligibility is a prerequisite for the job and examination must be completed within two years of employment through American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) or American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET).
Licensure & Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Registered EEG Tech, Registered Evoked Potential Tech or Registered Nerve Conduction Tech preferred.
