Responsibilities The Polysomnographic (PSG) Technologist provides PSG recordings and all technical duties related to the PSG evaluation of sleep disorders. Analyzes data, scores polysomnograms and compiles data into a report for physician review. The PSG Tech supports the organization and department's vision, mission, goals, and values.
Qualifications Experience: Work experience in a patient contact, healthcare related area preferred.
Education: Associate of Applied Science degree or equivalent in Clinical Neurophysiology, Polysomnography or Respiratory Care or other related field required.
Licensure & Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Eligibility to sit for Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or Registered EEG Technologist exam(s). Successful completion of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT) exam(s) within two years of employment.
