The Manager for Bold. Forward. Unbound. in Rochester provides strategic and operational leadership for Patient & Staff Engagement across a broad set of initiatives designed to elevate the experience of patients, staff, and external parties. This includes oversight of key engagement programs such as enterprise events, the Ambassador Network, and the Patient Family Advisory Council. The Manager also leads the change management function to support cultural transformation and contributes to the Art of Hosting strategy—supporting both programming for Signature Spaces and the advancement of digital and physical wayfinding. Working in a complex, matrixed, and highly collaborative environment, the Manager shapes and implements cross-functional initiatives that drive operational alignment and stakeholder engagement. The position requires strategic thinking, strong executive presence, and the ability to communicate and influence effectively across teams and leadership levels.
Orthopedic Surgery
The Manager within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery will provide strategic and operational leadership in support of the Hip & Knee, Shoulder & Elbow, Musculoskeletal, Foot & Ankle, and Oncology divisions. This role operates within a complex, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment, requiring a forward-thinking approach to align division-level operations with the department’s long-term objectives. The Manager will oversee a range of personnel, which may include clinical and operational supervisors as well as other departmental and divisional staff.
Division of Laboratory Genetics and Genomics
The Division of Laboratory Genetics and Genomics is dedicated to advancing the understanding and diagnosis of genetic diseases through innovative testing and technology, all in service of improving clinical patient care. This highly specialized division is organized into two practice areas, oncology and heredity, and brings together board-certified lab directors, genetic counselors, laboratory supervisors, and technologists who collaborate to deliver accurate and timely test results. The Manager plays a critical role in this environment as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities across the division’s laboratories. This includes overseeing workflow optimization and resource coordination, while facilitating project management and the implementation of policies and systems. The Manager leads a multidisciplinary team and supports staff recruitment, communication, and institutional initiatives. With direct oversight of clinical and operational supervisors, the Manager uses independent judgment to resolve a range of operational and management issues, all while fostering collaboration among teams to maintain the highest standards of quality, service, and innovation in genetic testing.
Cardiovascular Medicine
The Practice Manager in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine can support the outpatient practice, testing, procedures or inpatient practices. This role partners closely with physician and allied health leaders to oversee daily operations of the practice. Key aspects of this role will include leading practice improvement initiatives, driving standardization efforts, and piloting new concepts, innovation, and automation to redesign the practice. The operations manager will work on developing and implementing strategic initiatives and solutions in collaboration with many stakeholders throughout the outpatient and hospital practices. Administrative responsibilities also include but are not limited to staff development, quality improvement, change management, and supply and equipment strategies.
