Responsibilities The Accreditation/Regulatory Specialist is responsible for coordinating the continuous accreditation and regulatory processes for assigned Mayo Clinic locations and accreditation and certification programs (including, but not limited to, accreditations for hospital, critical access hospital, home care, ambulatory and behavioral health). Coordinates onsite accreditation and certification survey activity, including survey preparation, execution and facilitation of corrective action plans. Facilitates regular evaluation of site compliance through completion of compliance assessments and regular tracers. Maintains up to date knowledge and provides interpretation of accreditation and certification standards for all applicable accreditations and certifications (including, but not limited to, The Joint Commission, DNV, Departments of Health and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). Assists in facilitating an integrated organizational approach to assessing and meeting regulatory requirements, participates in regulatory risk assessments and provides insight to process improvements. Provides education and consultation on accreditation and certification standards.
This position will be a combination of remote work and on site work on the Jacksonville campus. Therefore, the incumbent must live within a reasonable driving distance of the Jacksonville, FL campus.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Three years leadership or project management experience. Ability to communicate and work successfully with other leaders, medical staff, and allied health staff; expertise in evaluation techniques, and ability to organize information from a variety of sources and communicate it in a meaningful way.
Master's degree in a healthcare field preferred. Clinical background a plus. Good understanding of data management, experience in accreditation processes, quality improvement methodology, and facilitation skills. Accrediting and regulatory bodies: Departments of Health, Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services, The Joint Commission, and others as identified.
