The Senior CRM Analyst serves as a vital technical marketing leader for the CRM Ecosystem and the CRM Team. The Senior CRM Analyst applies a solution design approach that demonstrates This position sits within the CRM Team in the Strategic Insights department and is a vital forward-looking role for the Olin Business School. This is a senior level position responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, communicating and automating delivery of data requirements for various departments within Olin Business School. The Senior Reporting and CRM Analyst is responsible for working with business departments to gather and understand data requirements, provide impactful insight and deliver innovative solutions to enhance business department decision making. This role is responsible for analyzing organizational processes, converting those processes to business workflows--driving school adoption of the CRM Platform. This role is a technical expert to all departments and areas to create, customize and improve the CRM platform. The role will be working alongside other analysts across the university and within the school to provide performance and strategic insight for Olin Business School leadership.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Reporting and Data Analysis
- Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions for school leadership.
- Lead conversations with internal customers to understand data and report requirements and recommend solutions.
- Understand all data sources including Olin CRM (Salesforce database and WashU Warehouse and how to integrate to build impactful reports.
- Construct automated dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with school strategic initiatives supporting multiple departments.
- Translate the data to easily understood stories. Convert complex data findings into audience tailored summaries, tables, graphs, and data visualizations.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal customers and leaders.
- Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in reporting and data analysis to enhance reporting.
- Organize and analyze data to identify trends and elevate insights related to building and enhancing connection with target audiences for school priorities.
- Conduct data analysis in support of a variety of different projects across multiple departments and multiple audiences.
- Provide actionable insight—findings are ready to package in summaries and story format.
- Create and produce forecasts, year-over-year comparisons, and analyze progress against targets.
- Support quick-turnaround ad hoc reporting requests.
Operational Activities
- Manage day-to-day administration of Salesforce and related integrated third-party tools including, but not limited to, Nintex, Accredible, FormAssembly, Workday, and Canvas.
- Facilitate system administration and help streamline business functionality including profiles/permissions, role hierarchy, security models, application customization, reports, and dashboards, etc.
- Create automation based on Flows, Process Builders, and Workflows, in support of high configuration (declarative), low coding (programmatic) standards.
- Maintain, evaluate, and advise on selection of 3rd party technologies to improve productivity and quality of systems.
- Manage API development, testing and support into WashU and Olin platforms including Workday, Canvas, and WashU data warehouse platforms.
- Develop reusable templates and maintain Business Systems Analyst methodology.
Data Management and Quality
- Plan and manage data acquisition, evaluation, and submission for multiple reporting destinations.
- Document data acquisition, hygiene, and reporting processes, procedures, and decisions.
- Extract, clean, maintain, manipulate, and share institutional data.
- Identify and define data quality improvements.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security.
- Demonstrate alignment with reporting requirements by performing data quality audits and analysis.
- Be aware of how data is collected and stored in university central data systems and how it maps to report requirements.

- Knowledge of best practices in data management, data hygiene, and overall data quality processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros and vlookups.

Salary Range
$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
