Description
The Prenatal Educator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Prenatal Educator works in collaboration with the Prenatal Education Coordinator in the provision of quality prenatal education courses. He/she assists the coordinator in administrative functions and course development as needed. The Prenatal Educator serves as a role model for all educators in all aspects of professional and leadership activities in support of the standards and guidelines related to prenatal education put forth by AWHONN, Lamaze international, PCE, American Heart Association and IBCLC as appropriate.
Qualifications
Required:
- RN or certification in area of specialty with teaching experience
- RN or certification in area of specialty (IBCLC, BLS, Lamaze, PCE).
- CERT BLS
Preferred:
- Previous prenatal instructing experience.
- Master's degree in Nursing or Education.
