Job Description:
The Manager of Mission Integration ensures that the care site operations and culture align with its Catholic identity, mission and core commitments. This role involves operational leadership, collaboration, and the integration of Catholic values into all aspects of the hospital’s services. Responsible for the oversight of spiritual care, ethics, and on-going formation for one or more care sites.
Essential Functions
- Articulates and demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to the mission, values, Catholic identity and heritage of the health ministry.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with senior leadership team, department leaders, caregivers, and members of the community.
- Works with system, region, and/or local mission leadership and local leadership teams to advance strategic priorities and achieve objectives, goals and outcomes specific to executive and caregiver formation programs and initiatives.
- Facilitates formation programs and initiatives. Collects data to measure impact and participation.
- Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services (Catholic care sites only).
- Partners with Mission Integration Leaders to identify, measure and drive Spiritual Care quality and performance improvement initiatives. Prepares statistical data related to department productivity metrics to measure and drive Spiritual Care quality and best practices.
- Develops team members within their reporting relationship to promote an atmosphere of teamwork, collaboration, and collegiality within the department and across disciplines.
- Cultivates a personal comprehension of Catholic health care sponsorship, Catholic health care ministry identity, heritage, and origin and creates opportunities for caregivers and leaders to understand the legacy, heritage to their role in carrying forward the mission of Catholic health care within Intermountain Health organizational vision and strategic direction and effectively integrates and expresses understanding through interpersonal communication skills, behaviors, emotional intelligence and presence to advance mission initiatives
- Accountable for the financial stewardship of department services, budgets, annual operating plans, business plans for new services and human resource structure. Prepares and presents business plans, reports, and other statistical data related to department productivity metrics.
- Works with market and/or regional leaders to ensure excellence in the delivery of clinical, social and organizational ethics
- Cultivates trusting and inclusive relationships with local Catholic clergy, deanery, faith communities and social service organizations in collaboration with market/region and/or system mission leadership (Catholic care sites only).

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited academic institution recognized by the Department of Education, or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
- Minimum of one Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) unit within 18 months of hire.
- One year of management experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Board Certified Chaplain by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC) or other agency following the Common Standards of Professional Chaplaincy (cognate partners).
- Formed in the Catholic tradition, or experience working in a Catholic ministry. Preference is for an active Catholic (for Catholic Sites only).

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$38.55 - $59.49
