What you be doing in this role:
The Manager, Revenue Cycle Training & Development is responsible for the training content development, implementation, and evaluation of revenue cycle training programs for use throughout the health system revenue cycle. The role partners with revenue cycle leaders, business partner and other dependent or contributing departments in developing training programs and activities by directly managing trainers and by coordinating revenue cycle training needs in the organization. Responsibilities include project planning and execution, organizational development, instructional design, curriculum development, instructor-led training, and web-based training. Develops training strategy, implementation and support to ensure accurate and timely training is provided. The Manager assumes fiscal responsibility through providing support of unit budgets, serves as a liaison with health system leadership and other personnel, promotes maximum growth and development of each employee and participates in strategic planning, both long and short-term. Primary responsibilities include:
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of revenue cycle training programs for use throughout the revenue cycle health system; Partners with managers, supervisors and trainers to ensure training programs and procedures are followed constantly.
- Effectively collaborates and communicates with a variety of individuals, both internal and external, including multidisciplinary teams.
- Manages all training project plans and effectively communicates status to project team and business leaders.
- Liaises with revenue cycle leadership teams to provide consistent, standardized revenue cycle training experiences across the health system.
- Promotes an organizational focus by establishing department and personal goals consistent with organizational goals, facilitating collaboration and coordination for interdepartmental problem-solving and supporting new concepts that enhance the functioning of area operations.
- Ensures that area of responsibility maintains a customer focus by serving as a role model with consistent focus of customer relations, providing feedback via positive and negative customer comments and by participating in customer satisfaction initiatives. Functions as a positive, creative and effective leader, actively participating in performance improvement activities and other process improvement design.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and municipal laws, regulations and ordinances for assigned area. Maintains staff compliance with medical center policies, procedures and protocols. Ensures ongoing staff compliance with established health system protocols.
- Ensures fiscal responsibility for the unit including unit budget preparation, labor and supply cost management and revenue enhancement.
- Expected to provide input and guidance to other members of the revenue cycle leadership team, proactively identify opportunities and work on methods to positively impact training and development resulting in optimal learning experience and user performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration, education, finance, economics, or a related major required.
- A minimum of 5 years of Epic Revenue Cycle leadership, training and project planning/management experience required.
