This vacancy will be posted on internal Career Website for 10 work days. Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.
The Rehabilitation Medicine Department is seeking a talented Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team. As a Nurse Practitioner in our Rehabilitation Medicine Department, you will play a crucial role in managing patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders. You will work independently and collaboratively with physiatry, nursing, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive histories, physicals, and musculoskeletal and neurological examinations.
- Develop and implement work-up and treatment plans, including specialized procedures.
- Interpret diagnostic, imaging, and laboratory results.
- Develop treatment plans, including ordering treatments and medications.
- Attend weekly academic multidisciplinary conferences and participate in annual educational conferences.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- New York State License as a Registered Nurse and Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification by the ANCC or AANP.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- At least 2 years of experience in Spine Centers or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in EPIC.
