The Molecular Cytology Core Facility at MSK is currently looking for a motivated and dynamic Research Technician – Histology to support MSK’s cutting-edge research teams and help drive breakthroughs in cancer research and treatment.

Responsibilities include:
- Conduct histological assays using established scientific techniques, including tissue processing, embedding and sectioning, and histological staining.
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other necessary materials to ensure high-quality and reliable research outcomes.
- Perform data analysis and calculations with precision; accurately record, organize, and interpret experimental results, and prepare clear, detailed reports or presentations to communicate research findings effectively.
- Work and collaborate with research users to determine experimental needs and manage experimental timescales.
- Provide comprehensive laboratory support, including assisting with ordering, billing, and consumables management as directed by the team member.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proven basic laboratory skills. Experience in FFPE tissue assays a plus.

- Critical thinking and problem-solving to optimize efficiency.
- Organization and a methodical mindset when working with research samples.
- Collaboration and relationship building with other team members and research users.
- Outstanding communication and self-awareness.
