Overview
The Psychologist of the Butler Center for Children and Families oversees all behavioral health needs of the Butler Center; a program designed to evaluate and provide evidenced based treatment to children who have been abused or neglected or experienced any traumatic event.
Responsibilities
- The psychologist manages the daily operations of Article 31 program/Office of Mental Health and ensures that policies and procedure are updated and maintained while reflecting effective leadership and collaboration.
- The Psychologist also provides therapy to children and families using a trauma-focused approach.
Requirements
- Trauma Focused Therapies training required.
- PsyD coupled with 3-5 years of experience with pediatric and adult population, preferably in underserved areas in a community-based setting.
- Bi-lingual Preferred.
- Superior communication skills (both written and oral) required.
- New York State License required.
