Overview
Provides callers with directory and general Medical Center information and/or instructions on telecommunication system usage- i.e., paging, office, and fax numbers, addresses. Update the telephone directory as necessary to maintain a complete and accurate listing.
Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains communication equipment correctly. Understands and utilizes system logs accurately.
- Provides immediate response to and processes emergency calls promptly. Monitors alarms for hospitals and transmitters.
- Communicates clearly with supervisors and associates as needed to clarify issues or exchange information between shifts.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED is required.
At least three years of Telecommunications preferred.
Knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
