GI/Liver Subspecialty
The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive medical center laboratories on the East Coast. We are seeking an applicant for a full-time Academic Surgical Pathology position in GI/Liver Pathology.

Responsibilities
Candidates should possess solid diagnostic skills, enthusiasm for teaching and strong communication abilities; responsibilities for both positions include clinical services in surgical pathology, interactions with clinicians and multidisciplinary patient care teams, involvement in the residency training program and medical student education and other activities. Participation in the GI/Liver Pathology (ACGME approved) fellowship is expected. Collaborative and translational research opportunities are available and encouraged.
Requirements
The position requires fellowship training and/or extensive (5+ years) experience with evidence of scholarly activity. The Division of Surgical Pathology practices a “hybrid” model of subspecialty sign-out in which allows for a combination of 2 or more subspecialties and receives approximately 66,000 surgical pathology specimens/year.
