Responsibilities
- The role of the NICU Registered Nurse is a critical position that requires a high level of professional expertise.
- Key responsibilities of the position include providing nursing care to assigned patients, which involves assessing patient needs, developing and documenting individualized nursing care plans, and administering medications and interventions as necessary.
- In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, the NICU Registered Nurse is also responsible for supervising and guiding nursing attendants and ancillary staff to ensure that patient care activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
- New York State RN License required.
- BSN Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' NICU (level III or higher) experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- NRP required.
- Infection Control Training.
- Effective English communication skills.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
