ResponsibilitiesThe Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a fellowship-trained Medical Retina Specialist to join our established retinal practice with two full-time retinal surgeons. This position will be based at the Eau Claire, WI practice site, which is part of the Mayo Clinic Health System. The Health System works in collaboration with Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
The successful applicant will be a skilled clinician, board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology with fellowship training in vitreoretinal disease. This position will provide Outpatient Clinic Medical retinal services in addition; there is an opportunity to provide general ophthalmology as it relates to cataract evaluations and surgery if the candidate chooses. Expectation to participate in general ophthalmology call coverage, which is now one in six weeks. Limited inpatient care specifically general ophthalmology patients.
Teaching/academic/research expectation. Currently, NWWI Family Medicine residents and Emergency Room NP/PA do shadow the physicians. The physician is eligible for Mayo clinic College of Medicine academic rank.
