Under the supervision of the Ultrasound Attending, Director of Ultrasound, and Division Administrator, the Ultrasound Technologist performs a variety of obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations. The role requires independent judgment, professionalism, and the application of advanced scanning techniques to support diagnostic assessments in women’s health.
Position Details:
Full-time (5 days/week)
Must be able to travel between multiple practice locations as assigned
Responsibilities
- Perform OB/GYN ultrasound studies with a high level of technical skill and clinical understanding.
- Generate preliminary written impressions for physician review.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness.
- Perform high-level disinfection in accordance with protocol and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program meeting ARDMS eligibility criteria.
- Current RDMS certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing OB/GYN ultrasound, including demonstrated proficiency in high-risk obstetrics (as assessed by the Director of Ultrasound).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of college or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in an academic Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) practice.
- ARDMS certification and hands-on experience in fetal echocardiography.
