Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking an APP to provide comprehensive care to the Thoracic Oncology Surgery service to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care.
The APP will join a team of over 700 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.
Role Overview:
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members in the outpatient clinics
First and second assist in the operating room in a wide variety of Thoracic Surgery cases
Provide comprehensive care to Thoracic Oncology Surgery inpatients
Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
Key Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited PA program
NCCPA certification
Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred
BLS certification/ALS certification
Or
Current New York State (NYS) RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses/registrations.
Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
Related National NP certification
A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred
Current RNFA
BLS certification/ALS certification
Core Skills:
A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions
Able to work effectively in an environment notable for complex
Effective at gaining the support and commitment of others by engaging them around your point of view and priorities
Work collaboratively with other APPs, Nurses, and Physicians
Flexible with scheduling and will adapt to the needs of the service.

Location: Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY & The David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care, 530 E. 74th St, New York, NY
Schedule: 3 - 12 hour days, day shift, including weekends, no overnights.
Reporting to: Manager, APP
Pay Range: $155,500 - $197,400/annually
