Description
The Physician Services Specialist is responsible for the administrative support of the NM Regional Medical Group Physician Services Department. These responsibilities include administrative support for the Manager of Physician Services, Physician Recruiters and Physician Liaison in a time sensitive, highly professional environment.
The Physician Services Specialist will be responsible for the Professional Expense Reimbursement Processing, administrative support of Regional Medical Group Grand Rounds, New Provider Orientation and events.
The Physician Services Specialist will assist in the development, planning and implementation of customer service strategies to support the core objectives of NM Regional Medical Group. This includes support surrounding recruitment, onboarding and service retention of RMG providers.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative support for the Physician Services department including updating distribution of information for Regional Medical Group.
- Maintain the onboarding spreadsheet for all new physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Assist in the onboarding processing of newly hired Regional Medical Group physicians including tracking of pre-hire physicals, lab coat orders, email announcements, new hire deadlines and additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Processing of Professional Expense Reimbursements (PERP) for physicians and advanced practice providers employed through Regional Medical Group. Includes updating of policies, educating new hires and existing staff, processing submission of expenses, tracking of expenses incurred and all appropriate communication with the President of Regional Medical Group for approvals. Provide support and service, year-end reporting and all responsibilities associated with expense reimbursement.
- Provide Regional Medical Group support with new hire orientation, including securing conference room space, updating of itineraries for the day or orientation, and other materials required for day of orientation. Maintain working knowledge of the new physician process and orientation.
- Maintaining appropriate contacts group lists for Regional Medical Group stakeholders.
- Supports physician recruitment efforts in maintaining the Practicematch, Practicelink and applicant tracking system data bases.
- When needed, facilitate itinerary planning for candidate site visits including outlook invitations, schedule of the day, appropriate planning of travel, accommodations, conference room scheduling and other tasks associated with site visits.
- Provide administrative support for RMG Grand Rounds.
- Facilitate event planning (RMG Annual Meeting, Networking Events,) and all RMG Physician Services activities and initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associates Degree
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a business office with a strong emphasis on database management and customer service.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred
- Ability to relate to all levels of the organization such as medical leadership and other hospital executives.
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment, preferably with direct physician contact.
- Ability to prioritize workload independently.
