            Overview
The Clinical Surgical Physician Assistant for the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) will be required to perform all the clinical duties of an ORL Surgical Physician Assistant as well as manage administrative duties in the department.            
Responsibilities
- Manage training and mentoring of PAs.
 - Data management and collection for departmental studies/projects.
 - Recordkeeping as assigned.
 - Assist and develop policies and procedures for the department.
 - Act as a liaison between departmental staff/divisions.
 - Assist in new hire PA interview process.
 - Organize/develop didactic education for PAs for the advancement of clinical knowledge and proficiency.
 - Coordinate PA scheduling as assigned.
 - Assist leadership with quality improvement initiatives.
 - Participate in quality assurance, safety, and compliance activities as required by hospital and departmental standards.
 - Ensure compliance with all institutional policies, accreditation, and regulatory requirements (JCAHO, NYS DOH).
 
            Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program required, Master’s Degree preferred.
 - Current NCCPA Board Certification (National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants).
 - Current New York State License.
 - Current BLS and ACLS Certification.
 - Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Otorhinolaryngology required.
 - Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
 - Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
 
This position is four 9.5-hour shifts per week. Hours vary based on operational needs.
