Position Summary
The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons is seeking a new mid-career physician as Assistant Clinical Cardiologist. This position will involve working at a large multi-specialty medical practice in Westchester Hawthorne, adjacent to New York City.
In this role, the Assistant Clinical Cardiologist will participate in providing the highest level of care to cardiovascular patients.
Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include:
- Deliver exceptional, specialized patient care with consistently excellent outcomes.
- Mentor junior colleagues, supporting their professional development and growth.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives, including quality improvement and patient safety efforts.
- Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and maintain relevant advanced certifications.
- Serve as a trusted resource for complex cases and high-acuity patients.
- Achieve and uphold high patient satisfaction scores.
- Meet or surpass productivity targets.
- Participate in call coverage for the group.
- Maintain certification in noninvasive imaging.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
- 0-5 years post-training
- Board certified or eligible in Cardiology
- Current New York State Medical License
- Fellowship training in the respective subspecialty (Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, Echocardiography, or Nuclear Cardiology)
Other Requirements
- Medical clearance and participation in the medical surveillance program
- Successful and ongoing completion of compliance and systems training requirements
