What will you be doing in this role:
The Data Scientist delivers analytical solutions using programming, data mining, statistics, machine-learning, and visualization techniques. Responsibilities include querying databases, data processing, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, deploying production models, and communicating findings. Writes clean, performant, reusable code to perform repeatable analyses & to train, and deploy models to multiple environments. Assists in making strategic data-related decisions by analyzing and manipulating data and building models to assist in the clinical and operational setting.
- Creates database-to-deployment pipelines for models using the vital programming languages (primarily R, Python, SQL).
- Creates sustainable data science infrastructure and adheres to data analysis/machine learning best practices.
- Performs exploratory data analysis to gauge the need for or appropriateness of sophisticated analytical methods.
- Tests and validates code to ensure robustness of data applications.

Experience Requirements:
Two (2) plus years of experience in healthcare, clinical research, or pharmaceutical industries working with electronic medical record data.
Experience programming at an intermediate to advanced skill level with the Python programming language.
Experience programming at intermediate proficiency level in SQL (Oracle, Redshift preferred).
Experience with predictive model data preparation and feature engineering.
Experience managing production level predictive analytics.
Regression, Time Series, XGBoost, Random Forest, SVM, Naive Bayes (standard Scikit learn models). Data Robot experience a plus.
Demonstrated ability to express complex analytical and technical information to senior management or to audiences with clinical training.
Strong understanding and experience in researching and resolving data issues with a logical, instinctive, and problem-solving mentality working with large, complex, and incomplete sources.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, machine learning, applied mathematics, econometrics, statistics, engineering, physics, or related field.
Master’s or PhD preferred.
