The Physician Assistant/ARNPis responsible forassistingthe Physician(s) in treating patients.

Whatyou’lldo:

Assist Physician in treating patients in both clinic setting and OR

Evaluate patients, takehistoryand perform pertinent physicalexamination

Providepost surgicalwound care andfollow-up

Coordinate care of patients (testing and preparation for procedures)

Record and ensure availability and completeness of documentation,reportsand imagingexaminations

Provide patient education,counselingandinstruction

Facilitate supervising Physician referral of patients to theappropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, or other resources of the community or otherPhysicians

Dictate progress notes, history and physical, and dischargesummaries

Administer and/or order medication upon request of supervisingPhysician

Initiate emergency measures on patient asrequired

Perform chartaudits

Provide in-service and daily consultation to nursingstaff

Initiate consultation andmonitorpatients for specialtests

Counsel patients on preventivecare

Other duties performed in a general practice outlined in F.S. Chapter 458.347

Share on-call responsibilities with a supervising Physician onback-up

Answer patientcalls

All other specific tasks delegated by supervising Physicianin accordance withthe Physician Assistant/APRN's knowledge and experience developed under the supervisingPhysician

Who you are:

Hold a current license in goodstanding

Maintain certificationin accordance withDepartment of Regulations

Able to perform health care tasks in urologyby supervising Physician efficiently and effectively consistent with patient's health andwelfare

Able to obtain and sustain clinical hospitalprivileges

Excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to work with minimumsupervision

Ability to travel within the surroundingcommunities

Good diagnostic capabilities

Graduate of an approved program or its equivalent

Meets the standards set bythe Board of Medicine

Experience in urologypreferred, but notrequired
