Summary:
- Leads and completes all assignments and tasks to include but are not limited to the following: Ensures the department is operationally efficient and effective, leading and documenting team meetings and projects. Creates project and action plans. Reviews daily manifests, reports on shortages, weights (clean and soiled), contacts vendors. Acts as primary decision maker when supervisor/manager is not present for; scheduling, product identification, conflict resolution and reporting issues. Other duties included but are not limited to: PAR stocking of all linen, removal of all soiled, linen and equipment. The shipping, receiving, delivery, restock of all storerooms areas regardless of supply maintained.
Responsibilities:
Patient/Customer
Lead and troubleshoot requests and issues
Responds to requests, for supplies/equipment in a timely manner
Notify appropriate management if unable to deliver supply or service
Participate in department & customer meetings/action planning
Ensures the department is operationally efficient and effective
Operations
Leads team meetings formal or otherwise
Answers requests for supplies and linens
Communicates well with all members of the organization
Reviews department for operational deficiencies and arranges in-service
Reports all issues to supervisor and or management team
Completes daily rounds reports
Restocks assigned area with supplies or linen accurately and timely
Restocks storerooms in an organized and accurate manner
Records product information for accurate charging or tracking to using department
Rotates all supplies as it is put away
Records all issues from inventory
Delivers linens, medical products and equipment to correct locations
Retrieves soiled linen and equipment
Builds PAR and Exchange carts for linens and supplies
Documents all issues with linens, assignments and staff
Insures all areas are properly stocked
Cycle counts inventory
Arranges for additional supplies based on census
Credentials:
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- Education Specialization:
Equivalent Experience:
•And 3+ years materials management experience required
•And 1+ years 1-3 years of leadership preferred
