Department: Youth Mental Health
The Case Therapist Ireflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychotherapy through various therapeutic modalities in individual therapy setting and case management services as indicated.
- Assess and evaluate client needs, strengths, goals and resources.
- Work with an interdisciplinary team in reviewing cases and developing individual treatment plans.
- Implement treatment through various therapeutic modalities.
- Consult with other center staff regarding problem assessment and treatment planning.
- Consult with other service agencies around case-specific and programmatic issues.
- Refer and link clients to other human services programs.
- Create clinical documentation in support of services provided on a timely basis.
- Train other providers and non-providers in areas relating to service specialties. Functions cooperatively as a member of the treatment team.
- Facilitate 1-2 group therapy sessions per week.
Schedule: 40 hours per week. 4 or 5 days between Monday and Friday.
Primarily daytime hours. Availability needed for two evenings per week until 8:30 PM.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Behavioral Health
- One year supervised clinical experience working in a behavioral health setting
- All NM, Ben Gordon Center (WR849) employees, at point of hire and annually, are required to have a valid State of Illinois driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and an annual driving abstract
- Licensed Social Works (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC)
Preferred:
- For substance abuse therapist, CADC preferred and Substance Abuse experience.
