As a CNS for 4S Oncology unit we have an exciting opportunity for an advanced practice nurse to take a leadership role in designing, implementing and evaluating patient-specific and population-based programs of care at the unit based and system level.
- You will work on a peer level with other Critical Care CNS, Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioners and Associate Directors.
- Assume the role of leader, clinician, researcher, educator, patient care advocate, consultant, inter and intradepartmental liaison, and resource professional.
- Interact directly with patients, families, and groups of patients to promote health or well-being and improve quality of life characterized by a holistic perspective in the advanced nursing management of health, illness, and disease states.
- Maintain competency skills including the ability to deliver care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Educational Requirements:
- Master's degree in clinical nursing specialty required
- Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree preferred.
License/Certification Requirements:
- Valid California Registered Nurse license.
- CNS certification by the CA Board of Registered Nursing.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
- National Specialty certification required (i.e. BMTCN or OCN)
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years recent acute RN experience in specialty
- Inpatient Oncology/Transplant specialty experience preferred.
- Meets specialty specific clinical competencies for assigned area
