Position Summary
This mid-level provider will work with physicians providing primary care and urgent care. This is a Cardiology Heart Failure APP position with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide primary health care for a diverse population.
Complete follow-up of individual patients as needed either by return visit, phone call, electronic communication or written letter.
Perform minor procedures as necessary, such as suturing, splinting.
Serve as a consultant for individuals traveling internationally, includes performing physical exams, ordering tests, prescribing medications as needed and counseling about immunization requirements.
Serve on committees as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Provide Saturday coverage as needed, approximately one time per month.

More About This Job
Required Qualifications:
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri or Illinois, depending on work location, and all relevant education to obtain licensure.
Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).
Preferred Qualifications:
Primary care experience.
College health experience.
Orthopedic or sports related injury experience.
Experience working in a primary care setting, physical exams, and minimal laboratory exams.
Ability to utilize an electronic health record.
Ability to collaborate with physicians.
Independent in making clinical decisions.
Ability to suture minor lacerations and do minor incision and drainage.
Preferred Qualifications

M.S. - Master of Science - Nurse Practitioner, M.S. - Master of Science - Physician Assistant Studies

Salary Range
$86,300.00 - $155,500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
