Overview

Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using prescribed ionizing radiation. The technologist works independently, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to departmental protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for CT examinations.
- Enter and verify patient data in Epic.
- Select appropriate CT protocols and obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Assist with CT-guided procedures and operate contrast injectors as needed.
- Place IV lines and prepares contrast.
- Process, label, and present images for radiologist interpretation.
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of CT work areas.
- Train students or staff as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (CT preferred/required per policy).
- Experience with CT systems and Epic preferred.
- Must meet Occupational Health requirements.
