Position Overview
Provides exceptional customer service to all employees, answering questions, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Serves as first point of contact for all incoming inquires, issues, and work requests related to HR operations and transactions. Provides high-quality customer service by handling inquires, requests, and resolves cases while appropriately escalating complex cases timely and accurately. Provides HR support in terms of system staff support tasks, customer service calls, filing, data entry, and other administrative support duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in related preferred, preferably in Human Resources.
Experience:
Customer Service experience required, preferably in human resources or healthcare setting. Workday experience strongly preferred.
Other Credentials:
Knowledge and Skills:
Exceptional customer service, organizational, problem solving and communication skills. Possesses active listening skills. Ability to escalate issues as required for proper resolution. Is detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritization.
Special Training:
Basic knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience with Microsoft Office and proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides Human Resources front desk support, including but not limited to: multiple line phone management, message taking and dissemination, walk-ins to the department, managing scheduled appointments to the department, managing multiple HR email boxes and Workday cases daily.
- Responds to general HR-related questions regarding benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and HR policies.
- Tracks history of issues and resolutions by maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of all conversations and documents relevant information in Human Resources Shared Services database.
- Identifies the root cause of the call and researches the issue to resolve inquiries upon first contact. Ensures interactions with customers are based on state and federal regulations and department policies.
- Educates employees on Capital Health's (CH) comprehensive benefits package, assists with benefit enrollment, and serves as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
- Escalates complex or difficult cases to Level II or appropriate HR team member. Involves manager as needed for quick resolution.
- Assists employees and managers by troubleshooting online Human Resources issues and utilizing online tools that are available. Investigates all areas of issue as needed to resolve as quickly and accurately without escalation.
- Supports the onboarding process, including paperwork completion, benefits enrollment, and coordination with various departments to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Completes procedure for terminated employee's files, including file scanning. Verifies employment and reference requests. Provides documents as needed for Legal requests.
- Enters and maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with all relevant HR laws and regulations.
- Maintains proficiency in data entry/processing of HR transactions adhering to applicable processes to include, but not limited to, employment status changes, new hires, employee terminations, rate changes, transfers and demographic changes.
- Completes employment verifications related to unemployment claims, housing, etc. Responsible for timely completion of unemployment requests.
- Assists with special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
